ER2 Mesa/PHX IMPACT - Love Your City!

We're gettin' down and maybe just a little dirty as our team will be tasked with clearing and cleaning up 2 alleyways in Mesa. 

We will meet at ER2 first in order to carpool as needed. You are encouraged to bring power tools, but other supplies will be provided (see below) RSVP: Friday, October 15 via the Google calendar invite sent out - I will send out further details to our volunteers at that time.  A kick-off event for all of the volunteers will be held on Tuesday 10/19 at the Mesa Arts Center from 4-6pm (come and go).  The event will feature raffles, art projects, Mayor and Council thank yous, tables from each of our departments that engage volunteers to learn about more ways to become involved, etc.  Details:

Alley Clean Ups (District 3): 2 alleys need overgrowth trimmed back and debris removed in order to form a clear line of sight from one end to the other.  All needed tools and materials will be provided to our group for this project including trash pickers, trash bags, work gloves, safety vests, and trimming tools.  A team of 10 volunteers can usually clear an alleyway in two hours.

Service Day:  All projects will be completed on Saturday, 10/23/21 between the hours of 7-12pm.  That doesn’t mean that our group will need that whole time, just that the projects are must be completed no later than 12pm.  There will be 40 yard dumpsters placed at the end of each alley for the debris and overgrowth that is trimmed.  All tools will be supplied, but will need to be picked up by the project captain (that's Denise) prior to the date of the project.  They don’t have any power tools (weed whackers, lawn mowers, etc) due to liability, so we are encouraged to bring our own.  Water and snacks will be provided, and each volunteer will receive  a volunteer lanyard.
